Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his maiden trophy for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a torrid period, managing just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in particular - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-term mentor Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the past month - culminating in a closely contested three-set triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents his maiden championship since the Italian tournament and initial on a hard court since that period of 2023.
Success also means he has secured twenty-one championships at twenty-one various events.
"It's the first time I have attended a tournament with my two daughters together, so to win a title is really nice," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and recurring outbursts on court had led some to doubt if his capacity to perform at the elite level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an enhanced service.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players traded break points in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
He rescued four initial opportunities in a competitive third set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the title with a rally at the net area, with Moutet incapable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
